August 2026 Ritual Box Reveal: Welcome Home

There is a very specific point in August when I am officially over summer... but I'm also not quite ready for pumpkins everywhere.

The kids are back to school. The calendar somehow has 47 things on it again. It's still 90 degrees outside, but the mornings are starting to feel different.

And suddenly I want my house to smell really freaking good.

Not Christmas-tree-in-August good. Not cinnamon-broom-at-the-grocery-store good.

Just warmer. Cozier. A little more like fall is coming.

That was the entire idea behind August's Welcome Home Ritual Box.

And for the first time in 2026, we built the whole box around your home.

No elaborate routine required. No finding another 30 minutes in your day. These are scents that can live in the background of the life you're already living — at the kitchen sink, in the bathroom, during the school pickup loop, or in the room where everybody inevitably ends up.

Here’s what was inside.

Harvest Moon Reed Diffuser

This was the hero scent of August, and for good reason.

Fresh pear, blueberry, and pineapple give Harvest Moon a little brightness before it settles into spruce, Douglas fir, cedarwood, and soft musk.

It's woodsy without smelling like Christmas. Fruity without smelling summery.

Basically? It smells like late August should.

It's such an interesting scent, too. I'll be honest, when we first bought the fragrance oil I was like "ugh, do not like this." But then I kept going back to smell it and now I kinda love it!

Put it in the room where everyone tends to gather — living room, entryway, kitchen — and let it do its thing. Flip the reeds when you want a stronger hit of fragrance. Once a week should be a good start for you!

No remembering to turn anything on (or off). No spraying every three hours. It just quietly makes the room smell good.

Autumn Wreath Room Spray

Okay, this is where I let us have a little fall.

Autumn Wreath is warm autumn leaves, cinnamon-spiced apples, nutmeg, and clove.

Yep. She's fall.

But I intentionally kept that traditional fall fragrance to one product instead of making the entire box smell like we cannonballed directly into October. I'm ready for cooler fall weather but I'm not quite there for full-on Halloween and pumpkin spice, k?

A few sprays when the kitchen needs a reset, before someone comes over, or when you're finally done cleaning up dinner and would like the house to smell like nobody has been living in it all day #iykyk

Golden Hour Car Diffuser

Because if we're talking about places we spend a ridiculous amount of time in August...

Hello, car.

Golden Hour blends crisp green apple and pear with juicy strawberry, soft geranium and fresh basil, then settles into oak and fresh greenery.

It's bright, green and just grounded enough to feel like the season is starting to turn.

And if Golden Hour feels a little familiar, there's a reason.

July's box gave you Gilded Apple. August carried that orchard feeling forward into your car — a little scent thread connecting the two months without repeating the same fragrance.

Hang it from your rearview mirror and enjoy it through school pickup, practices, grocery runs and the approximately 900 other places everybody needs to be this month.

Vanilla Sandalwood Hand Soap

This might be the quietest scent in the box, but don't sleep on it.

Creamy vanilla + warm, earthy sandalwood.

That's it.

Soft. Warm. Easy to live with.

I love this one for the bathroom because it doesn't need to announce itself. It's just a really good scent attached to something you're already doing ten times a day.

Huckleberry Harvest Hand Soap

And then we have the fun one.

Huckleberry Harvest is packed with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and peaches with a smooth, rich finish.

Still juicy enough for summer. Just enough of that berry-harvest feeling to belong in August.

You may remember this scent from 2024...it's that's good that we had to bring it back!

I'd put this one at the kitchen sink, where it can be a little brighter and fruitier, and save Vanilla Sandalwood for the bathroom.

Two sinks. Two completely different scent moments.

And you didn't have to add a single thing to your schedule.

Your August Ritual: Let the House Do Some of the Work

That's really what this month's ritual comes down to.

Put Harvest Moon somewhere you spend a lot of time.

Hang Golden Hour in the car.

Put one hand soap in the kitchen and one in the bathroom.

Keep Autumn Wreath somewhere easy to grab when the room needs a quick refresh.

Then... go live your life.

These aren't five more things you need to remember to use.

They're five little scent moments tucked into places you're already going to be.

And during the particular brand of chaos that is August?

I'll take it.
