We didn't set out to build a bath and body brand. We set out to stop burning out.

Both of us, Chrissy and her mom, Marcia, had careers we'd built over decades. And both of us hit a wall. Exhausted, stretched thin, and completely disconnected from anything that felt like taking care of ourselves. When we finally stepped away, we knew the business we were building had to stand for something real.

Not spa days. Not elaborate rituals. Just the small stuff — a product that makes your shower feel like five minutes to yourself, a scent that makes you exhale before you even realize you needed to.

That's still what we make. Every batch.

What Makes Us Different

The Same Hands That Made It, Shipped It to You

There's no warehouse here. No outsourced production. Every formula was developed in-house, mostly by Marcia, whose own research and formulation has been at the heart of Simply Stated since day one.

When your order ships, it's been made, labeled, quality-checked, and packed by our small team. That's not something most customers know, and it's not something we take lightly.

We've been doing this since 2015. We're still here because we genuinely love it.

Established 2015

Simply Stated truly started as a hobby back in 2015. Chrissy was beginning a family and was heavy into research on ingredients and learning more about holistic approaches. The hobby started with solely essential oils and basic body butters + body scrubs. Soon co-workers and friends were asking for their own products and in a variety of fragrances.

Keeping with the mission of "clean ingredients" we dove deep into more research, finding suppliers aligned with our values. We attended trainings and conferences to learn as much as we could on ingredient benefits, proper formulation, good manufacturing practices, scaling small batches, and growing a handcrafted business.

Fast forward to 2021 and both Marcia and Chrissy had walked away from their long-term careers. While we left at different times, there was a resounding reason behind each resignation: massive burnout and failure to prioritize our own well-being. This was our lightbulb that our brand was no longer just about fun smelling bath products, it had to encompass that self-care is a necessity for us working women and mamas!

We went full force into Simply Stated to grow not only our retail side through e-commerce and markets, but stepping into the expansive world of wholesale.

Today you can find us still formulating our own products, handcrafting each in small batches, and working closely with our small team.

In 2026, we completed a full rebrand — new visual identity, new product focus, and a renewed commitment to the things that have always set us apart: small-batch quality, clean ingredients, and products that actually fit into a real woman's day. The subscription box is back. The community is growing. And we're still making everything by hand, right here in Colorado.
