What happened?
When a fragrance oil contains vanillin, browning is bound to happen and is unavoidable. We do use a stabilizer to help slow it down, but it eventually still happens. Sometimes browning happens in a couple of days, sometimes it happens in a couple of months.
Unfortunately, for these particular scents it happened within days. We have always used the same fragrance oil for years…which means our supplier changed something and we didn’t know. Oils tend to be a proprietary blend so we’ll never know until this happens.
What does that mean?
The product is still good! They still smell wonderful. They still perform as they should. They just aren’t as pretty or vibrant anymore. As such, we have these products marked down while supplies last. At this time, only Cotton Candy will be discontinued.
Bath Bomb Ingredients: Baking Soda, Citric Acid, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Shea Butter, Polysorbate 80, Fragrance, and may contain Blue 1, Yellow 5, Yellow 6, Red 40, and Red 27.
Warning: Use only as directed. Excessive use of prolonged exposure may cause irritation to skin and urinary tract. Tub may be slippery after use. Discontinue use if rash, redness, or itching occurs. Consult your physician if irritation persists. Keep out of reach of children, unless under adult supervision.
Some bombs may be more heavily colored than others. We use non-staining colorants. In the event color remains in your tub after your bath, use a warm, soapy cloth to wipe away any residue.
