We get asked this more than almost anything else: "What's actually in your products?"
And the honest answer is: not much. On purpose.
We're not going to hand you a list of unpronounceable ingredients and call it transparency. We're going to tell you what's in our products, why it's there, and why everything else isn't.
What we always include
Every Simply Stated formula is built around a short list of skin-loving ingredients…the kind that do specific, meaningful things and don't add complexity for complexity's sake.
Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Butter — depending on the product. Oils that hydrate, protect, and absorb without leaving a film. The kind your skin actually uses.
Fragrance from quality fragrance suppliers we've used for years and trust. We're not a 'fragrance-free' brand and we're not pretending to be. We make products that smell good, intentionally, because scent is the thing that turns a routine into a ritual.
Water, glycerin, and gentle preservatives because water-based products need safe preservation to not grow bacteria. We use the minimum effective amount. Nothing more.
What we never include
Parabens. Phthalates. We've been paraben-free and phthalate-free since we started making products in 2015.
Not because it was trendy but because it was right. These are the formulas we'd put on our own skin. My own kids' skin. The skin of the people we care about most.
We don't use artificial dyes in everything — some products have color options and some don't. When dye-free matters to you, we offer it.
Formulated in-house. Made by hand. No third parties.
Here's the part most brands don't talk about:
We didn't buy our formulas from a supplier. Every Simply Stated formula was developed here by us (mainly Marcia) through testing, adjusting, failing, and trying again until it worked the way we wanted it to.
When you open a Simply Stated product, the same hands that built the formula put it in your hands. That's Marcia, who has been formulating these products since before I could spell formulating.
There's no factory. No third-party fulfillment. Made in Fort Morgan, Colorado, labeled and shipped by our small team.
We say small-batch not as a marketing phrase. It's just the truth — and it's what lets us control every ingredient in every jar.
Why simple is the goal
Every ingredient in a Simply Stated product is there because it does something specific. For the product, for your skin, for the way it works in your actual routine.
We're not trying to hide anything behind a long ingredient list. We're trying to make something that works when you use it at 6am, or in a five-minute shower, or while your nervous system is already running hot.
Simple formulas are more gentle, more effective, and more honest.
